Celia's love for sports began at the age of 3 years when she joined a local gymnastics club where her talent was rewarded with a number of medals in local and regional competitions.
When she commenced her primary education, Celia's potential in other sports including athletics was soon discovered. Consequently she led her school to win many trophies in tag rugby, netball, football and retained her position as borough sprint champion throughout her years at Chase Bridge School. A feat which she repeated at Orleans Park Secondary School by breaking the borough 100m record in year 7 and the high jump record which had stood for 30 years, in year 9.
Celia joined club athletics when she was 11 years old. Her all round athletic ability meant she is suited to multi-events with long jump being her main event. She won her first international competition in long jump in July 2011.
